Information received from Ralph McLean:- Hollybrook Memorial, Southampton, UK. (panel 49). Also listed on Bezuidenhout Valley War Memorial. Louis Frederick Howell Private. South African Infantary. 4th Regiment Died 12 Sept 1918 Drowned at sea (from S.S. "Galway Castle"), as a result of an attack by an enemy submarine 160 miles S.W. and .5 S. of the Fastnet.
