Cemetery / Memorials Information: Album incomplete.
These WW1 casualties are buried in what is known as "Soldiers Corner" most are buried 4 or 5 to a grave, some are buried as singles. The thought was that they would originally be buried as singles until they realised that there were a lot more casualties than expected. At some point the markers were lifted and the graves grassed over, then they decided to re-install the markers, but many were missing and broken so CWGC then repaired and restored/replaced the markers and it was unveiled in 2018. Baker and Jenkins have a South African connection which is why they are on the list. (Derek Walker)
